API & MCP
Connect Claude (MCP)
Let Claude or another AI agent read and work one workspace.
Address: https://app.northquest.io/api/mcp
Sign in (recommended)
claude.ai: add a custom connector with the address above.
Claude Code: run
claude mcp add --transport http northquest https://app.northquest.io/api/mcp
A NorthQuest page opens. A workspace owner or admin approves it. It is read only by default. It shows in Settings › API as a connected app. Disconnect stops it.
Connected apps stay signed in for up to 90 days without use, and 365 days at most. Then you approve again. Up to 10 per workspace.
With a key instead
In Settings › API, create a key with Used by: Claude and other AI agents (MCP). Add it as a header:
claude mcp add --transport http northquest https://app.northquest.io/api/mcp \
--header "Authorization: Bearer nq_…"
An MCP key works only for MCP. API keys don't work for MCP.
What an agent can do
- Read:
campaigns_list,campaigns_runs,lists_list,inbox_list,mailboxes_list,domains_read. - With a read-and-write key:
campaigns_pause,inbox_labelandinbox_done. - Agents can't send, launch or resume campaigns, block leads, make lists or change webhooks. Do those in the app.
Keep it safe
- Use read only unless the agent must change things.
- What the agent reads, like lead names and replies, goes to that agent's AI provider.
- Changes and refusals show in Settings › Activity log, marked "via MCP".
- Limits: 120 tool calls and 300 messages a minute per key.
