Deliverability

Set up SPF, DKIM and DMARC

The three DNS records that prove your emails really come from you.

Mail providers check these records before they trust your emails. Without them, emails land in spam or bounce.

Steps

  1. Open Deliverability › Domains. There is one card per sending domain.
  2. Open a domain. Its checklist goes SPF, then DKIM, then DMARC.
  3. Each step explains why it matters and shows the exact record for your mail provider.
  4. Add the records at your DNS provider. The page links to Cloudflare, GoDaddy, Namecheap and Squarespace.
  5. Click Check again. NorthQuest says what it found. You can check once a minute.

DNS changes can take a while to appear. If a check fails right after you add a record, wait a few minutes.

What each record does

  • SPF lists the servers allowed to send for your domain.
  • DKIM signs each email so receivers can tell it wasn't changed.
  • DMARC tells receivers what to do with emails that fail SPF or DKIM.

Status

A domain shows Ready, N records to add, or Not checked yet.
